I frequently use this transom roller to set a stern anchor. The custom outboard bracket on the opposite side provides 17 inches of vertical lift.

Bow cleats cannot be too large. This one's 10-inch. Lately I use a 33 lb Bruce primary anchor on 150-feet of 5/16 chain with nylon rode attached.
