Mast fittings for added inner forestay and running backstays visible between spreaders and masthead.
AtomForestay05kb87.jpg (88617 bytes)
Moveable inner forestay in its forward position where a storm jib or larger jibs can be hanked on, if needed.
AtomForestay07kb67.jpg (67851 bytes)
Inner forestay in its aft position. Here it does not interfere with tacking the furling jib but still adds some support to the mast. Deck pad eye has backing plate and is adequately supported in this area of the deck by existing stringer and proximity to forward coachroof.
AtomRunners02kb67.jpg (68526 bytes)
Port running backstay in its semi-permanent forward position. When a jib is attached to the inner forestay the running backstays can be moved aft and connected to a strap or tackle for added mast support.
